Kendall Calling just announced a mic-drop of a line-up for 2018. Headlined by Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Libertines, Run DMC, and Hacienda Classical, the event will feature a huge supporting cast of top musical acts from across the world. We’re here to bring you just a fleeting overview of what to expect from one of the UK’s fastest-growing fests.

If you’d rather bust out your best shapes on the dance floor, Kendall Calling’s 2018 Glow Dance Stage will send shivers down your spine thanks to a line-up that includes Idris Elba, Basement Jaxx, and Gorgon City. You’ll also enjoy a special takeover from DnB legends Hospitality, plus sets from Grandmaster Flash and Mistajam, Horse Meat Disco, Wookie, and Gotsome.

Or you could always head to the Tim Peaks Café. It’s a fan favourite and the best place around to grab a slice of cherry pie and a damn fine cup of coffee. The line-up is just as impressive:

  • Tim Burgess
  • Dave Haslam
  • The Clone Roses
  • Tony Walsh
  • Clint Boon
  • The Waltones
  • Kieren Webster
  • Twisted Wheel

And, as ever, music isn’t all that’s going on. One of the main stars is the Lake District’s Lowther Deer Park, which is hands-down one of the most beautiful festival sites in the UK. You’ll find plenty of entertainment across the grounds, including art installations, stand-up comedy shows, and kid’s shows. As for refreshments, expect gourmet food and a real ale festival.

2017 marked the 12th consecutive sell-out for the festival. In fact, it sold out just one week after the line-up was announced. Sad to say, the 2018 event is already sold out … or so it would appear. There’s going to be a resale at the end of June, so all you need to do is sign up at the official Kendal Calling website to be in for a shot.

Why on Earth wouldn’t you?
